Zichen (ChenChen) Zhao

Hi delegates!

My name is ChenChen, and I am an 8th grader at Shanghai American School Puxi. It is my utmost honor to be serving as your President of WHO at WLMUN XX. I joined MUN in 7th grade and this conference will mark my 4th conference, and my very first time as chair.

My focus will be on the topic of “Addressing the barriers to primary healthcare and essential medicines”. Many countries around the world have limited access to basic health essentials such as life-saving vaccines, clean insulin, maternal care supplies, and much more. Especially developing nations, who often face severe unaffordable medical debt, that are pushed into extreme poverty.

I look forward to all the fruitful, diplomatic debates and please feel free to reach out to zichen01px2031@saschina.org or to our Deputy President if you have any questions or concerns. See you all in November!

Deputy-President

Vanilla Huang

Greetings. My name is Vanilla Huang, and I am currently a sophomore at Hangzhou International School. This marks my third year enrolling in MUN, my third WLMUN conference and my debut as a student officer. It is a privilege for me to serve as your deputy president at WLMUN XX.

I will be focusing on the pressing topic of “Strengthening international surveillance systems for cross-border containment of infectious disease outbreaks”. This is an urgent problem to for us to deliberate, a single pathogen could evolve into a “global crisis”. Just like covid-19, spreaded from China to the globe under 9 months, precisely exposed the weakness of the surveillance systems over the world. As our theme for WLMUN XX, “Seconds to Midnight, Miles to go” suggests, we are still miles to go to construct our global health architecture.

I hope you all have a memorable time at WLMUN XX, I am really looking forward to meeting each of you all in person. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate reach out to: huam67129@hisdragons.org.cn or our President.

May the force be with you.
