Honorable delegates, Distinguished guests, Esteemed directors, and Respected members of the WLMUN XX Secretariat,
It is my greatest pleasure to welcome you to the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund Committee of WLMUN XX. I am Elly Hwang, a sophomore at Hangzhou International School. I am honored to serve as your President for this conference. With three years of MUN experience along with 7 conferences, including overseas, WLMUN XX will mark my second experience in serving as a chair.
I am delighted to explore the topic of Combating Child Marriage through Legal Reform versus Community-Based Intervention. Beyond the surface of the question, I hope our discussions will further examine the challenges that arise when legislation meets the social, cultural, and economic realities. I encourage you to look beyond the conventional solutions and consider how legal frameworks and community initiatives can build on to create sustainable changes.

Esteemed delegates, student officers, directors, and honored guests, welcome to United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund committee of West Lake MUN XX. My name is Hamin Ryu, and I am currently a sophomore at Hangzhou International School. It is my pleasure to serve as your Deputy President for WLMUN XX. As a student, I have been part of MUN since when I was 8th grade, I have continued developing passion towards global issues and crisis, and it became such a great experience and important part of my memories to collaborate with other delegates and create solutions for such significant global events. I hope this WLMUN conference allows you to create same memories and feelings, just like it inspired me to do so.
