Allison Wang
Esteemed delegates, student officers, and directors, Welcome to WLMUN XVIII! My name is Allison Wang, a freshman at Shanghai American School Puxi Campus (SASPX). It is my honor to serve as the President of the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime.
I have been involved in MUN since sixth grade and have participated in 11 conference since then, 4 of which I attended as a chair. Through conferences, I shared so many memories with other delegates, chairs, admin, and secretariats. Hopefully, this year’s WLMUN will become another special and memorable part of your MUN career.
I will be focusing on the topic of Drug Policy Reform and Alternatives to Incarceration in the Golden Triangle. The Golden Triangle region has long been a major producer of illicit drugs, leading to high rates of incarceration and human rights abuses. I hope through this year’s WLMUN, delegates will be able to expand their knowledge through compelling debates brought by the topics and engage in this chance to to write resolutions with a diverse pool of delegates.
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions! See you all in November!
