Greetings Delegates! My name is Nicole Ren, and I am a Grade 11 student at Huili International Academy Shanghai. I am honored to serve as your President for the ECOSOC committee at this year’s conference. This will be my second time chairing a conference, and I’m excited to build a comprehensive experience with all delegates. Furthermore, I’m also confident that the ECOSOC committee will offer you all valuable insights and memorable experiences.
My biggest piece of advice is to research both topics thoroughly and understand your country’s position from multiple angles. It will strengthen your speeches and make you more confident during POI and writing resolutions.
I look forward to seeing all the creative ideas and diplomatic spirit you all bring to the committee. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

This committee is your platform to debate, collaborate, and innovate—and my goal as its Deputy-President is to ensure an inclusive, energetic environment where every voice is heard. To everyone starting their MUN journey with this conference I would recommend taking the courage to express ideas no matter how much you hesitate.
